Panther Hunt VIII – May 2019

When: May 24, 2019 at 12 PM – May 26, 2019 at 3 PM

Where: Maranatha Campsite, 57A View St Lidsdale NSW

This family-friendly 3-day event is in its 8th year, and we are planning more archery, more A&S & more atmosphere than ever before. Both sharps and combat archery will be on offer for kids & adults. Loaner equipment will also be available for good gentles that may wish to try their hand.
The now familiar clout shoot will be held on Saturday morning.“Peasants” both big & small, may shoot blunts at new & improved “Beasts” from a new location with new scenarios in play during the main hunt on Saturday afternoon. A night shoot on Saturday night promises to be a riot of colour & Sunday will feature a Rowany round. To wind up this fabulous event, the legendary Boffer Tourney will be held to find the new Dismal Fogs Boffer champion.

Full event catering from Friday night (soup kitchen) to lunch on Sunday. Hearty breakfasts, hot & cold fare for lunches and the spoils of the hunt on offer at the feast on the Saturday night. Cold weather camping & dormitory-style (3-7/room, first booked basis) accommodation is available on-site, alternative accommodation can be found nearby.

Directions to Maranatha:
From the East, take the Great Western Highway past Lithgow. Exit onto the Castlereagh Highway towards Mudgee. Look for “SCA” signs adjacent to the Goat farm, corner of View St and Castlereagh highway.

PLEASE NOTE: This will be a “nut free” event. Please do not bring any foods containing nuts of any kind to the event. We also ask that patrons be considerate in their consumption of beverages containing licorice, anise, aniseed, fennel, or cloves as these will seriously harm the kitchen steward, and we may not get fed!
