Congratulations.
Two things:
1. I have looked in a lot of places about archery competitions in SCAA. All I could find has been about equipment and shooting rules.
Surely there must be a list of all the different competitions with descriptions of the distances, target sizes, number of arrows shot and scoring.
2. Booked in for the Fogs Panther shoot but cannot see a timetable of events during that or a description of how events and activities are conducted. From a newcomer’s perspective that is important. I did not book accommodation as I live up the road but if the Fogs get some advantages such as their own camp site and an extra nomination is needed please advise.
Hi, I live in Katoomba and was wondering about getting involved in SCA again (after a break of almost 20 years). So I’m now 51 but still interested in history, especially archery and music. Particularly interested in getting involved with combat archery after trying it once at Ironfest. I realise everything is quiet right now but perhaps I could use this time to get my stuff together a bit. Hope to hear from you.
Hi Chris, Check out the facebook group for more upto date meetings times (and covid updates that can affect these). We’ll be starting back to archery training (sharps mostly) in February 2021 in the upper mountains.
Would love to know more about what you do, what one needs and any costs involved. Heard about this years ago from a client and thought I’d check it out, if that’s okay?
